Scenario
Recoding day 1; Nathan drops off his Ampeg V4 with “the wizard,” Greg Wright at L&M. Apparently the power consistency in our former space, is not so consistent.
Recording day 2; Greg phones Nathan to tell him the head is all fixed up and ready to rock, after being told the previous day that the wait for the repairs would be about 4 weeks. (Nathan’s budgeting for the month was set)
Recording day 20; Nathan finally scrounges the $80 to pay for the repairs, I actually had to talk him out of buying a sheesha pipe only an hour earlier.
Recording day 25; Nathans Ampeg sits in my house as a coffee table, as we both write heaps of papers and write some final exams. (That’s right, some of us are in school, just in case we don’t all become rock stars, although rumor has it that, Joel Sykes, lead singer of the now defunct Kates Turn has received enticing emails from some known labels (equal vision) about offers to sign, including paying for touring and all that. Apparently EV has lost all of their
good bands in the last few years, and I guess that http://www.purevolume.com/katesturn this website, is enticing as any. But lemme tell you, If this shit if fo’ real, someone gunna cash in. Anyhow, once we finally got Nathans head to the studio the first thing that came to my head was: “Yip, we can run five heads at once.”
In the end, when it all comes down to it, the mean average seems to be three. Three at any one time seems to be the maximum amount of “tone” any one take can handle. That way the guitarmony’s are as thick as the flies on the wall.
P.s. If anyone has seen, or knows the whereabouts of Jordan Faulds, the rest of the band would really like to know. Maybe she is fashioning a new “french” horn on the grindstone she tackles her scholastic endeavors with?
